(Nasdaq:FLIR), announced today that Denis Helm, has joined the Company as Senior
Vice President for Corporate Development. In that role, Mr. Helm will be
responsible for coordinating the Company's evaluation of acquisition
opportunities. Mr. Helm, who will report to Earl Lewis, FLIR's President and
CEO, previously spent over 30 years in various management positions at Thermo
Electron Corporation (NYSE: "TMO"), most recently as President of Thermo
Electron's Environmental Instruments Division, a $130 million per year
diversified instruments manufacturing business.
