FLIR Systems Announces $14.4 Million Order From the U.S. ArmyPORTLAND, OR, Apr 23, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) -- FLIR Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLIR) announced today that it has been awarded a $14.4 million firm fixed-price contract from the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command in Huntsville, Alabama for its Star SAFIRE® III stabilized multi-sensor system. The units delivered under this contract will support the ongoing U.S. Army Rapid Aerostat Initial Delivery (RAID) program. Work will be performed at FLIR's production facility in Portland, Oregon. Deliveries will begin immediately. This award is made under a $75 million indefinite deliver/indefinite quantity contract that was awarded in October 2006.
